DEREK COSTELLA
Leading the way is four-time defending champion Derek Costella. In 2008,
Derek was the first ever in the event history to capture both the MM10E
and MM12E championship. Derek is set to defend his titles on his new
BBR/Monster Energy factory race bikes. In addition to this goal, Derek
will be able to fulfill another lifelong dream by racing a pink,
clapped-out, $70 garage sale Z50 in the MM8A class. “The reason Derek
wins at every mini-bike race he enters is because he loves to ride
mini-bikes”, according to Duane Brown, BBR President. “He is not afraid
to hang it out there, whether it is on his full-blown race bike, or a
stock Z50 with flowered graphics”. It should be fun to watch Derek in
every class he enters because he is always the most entertaining and
charasmatic figure in the mini-bike industry.

RYAN ABRIGO
Ryan Abrigo, winner of the Mini-MX Summer Grand National, and dual
podium finisher at the 2008 Las Vegas Mini-Moto SX, is 100% healthy this
year, and hungry for a victory. “There is nobody who wants to win this
event more than Ryan”, says Larry Kuebler, BBR Sales Director. “Ryan has
the talent and determination to make it happen, and is focused on a #1
plate this year”. Ryan has done the work to finish on top of the box by
putting many hours at the BBR test track, and at the gym. His unique
riding style fits the mini-bikes perfectly. Ryan is a Northwest native,
and a long-time BBR team rider and friend. Watch for Ryan to pull out
all the stops for a win this year.

TIM WEIGAND
Three time Langtown winner, and White Brothers 150cc Four-Stroke
Champion, and WORCS Offroad star, Timmy Weigand, has pulled the holeshot
in almost every mini-bike race he has ever entered, including leading
the freight train of BBR Factory riders into the first turn in last
year’s MM12E main event. Timmy uses his former BMX success as a
foundation for his incredible mini-riding skills. According to Chris
Brown, BBR V.P. of Product Development, Timmy actually practiced this
year for the event. “Last year, Timmy just showed up and hoped on the
bike and almost podiumed both expert classes”, says Chris. No more
flying under the radar for Timmy. He is healthy and ready to compete for
the title. |
JASON LAWRENCE
Everyone in the know says Jason Lawrence is unbelievable on a mini-bike,
and that he WILL win. There is no question he is one of the most
talented riders in the world, and he has the aggressive nature that fits
well with Mini-Moto racing. Jason will be backed by BBR Motorsports,
Monster Energy, Boost Mobile, am/pm, Troy Racing, and a host of other
supporters. Be careful if you are sitting in the first couple of rows at
the event! Jason will definitely throw everything he has in the ring to
win the event. Regardless of how Jason finishes the race, the spectators
will be the winners!

DEREK ROSE
One of BBR’s most aggressive competitors, Derek Rose, will be competing
in the MM10E, MM12E and MM8A classes this year. In his second year with
the BBR Factory Team, Derek has the speed and ability to compete with
anyone. With a little Las Vegas luck on his side, there is no question
that Derek will be able to run his BBR at the front of the pack. “I
would not be surprised at all if Derek won in one of these classes this
year”, said Brent Brown, BBR General Manager. “Derek is one of our best
factory racers. He is also an excellent test rider, and has put in the
hours it takes to win at the highest level of the sport”.

VICTOR
SHELDON
The infamous Victor “Slasher” Sheldon, Thor Rep and multiple Jet Ski
National Champion, and one of the most stylish riders on an MX bike,
will be back to recapture his Vet Class title. Victor is one of the
fastest vet riders on the planet, and should find his way to the podium
again this year.
ADAM BOOTH
Dirt Bike Magazine Editor and BBR Test Rider, Adam Booth, has podiumed
twice at this event in the past few years. Adam will be our lead racer
on the new BBR MM12P Production Race Bike at the event. “Adam is one of
our favorite people in the MX industry”, states Duane Brown. “The entire
BBR crew loves to have Adam as part of the team”. Adam will be competing
in the MM12A, MM12Stock/Mod, and the MM16A classes.
JASON ANDERSON, KEVIN FLYNN, DANIEL MEYNET, and
CARSON BROWN
Up-and-coming Amateur Superstar Jason Anderson will lead the BBR Youth
Team at this year’s event. With team members Kevin Flynn and Daniel
Meynet, the trio of BBR youth racers is the best BBR has ever assembled
at one event. Ten year old Carson Brown, will take on the MM12Y
Stock/Mod class on a BBR/Monster Energy KLX110. “All of these riders are
the perfect addition to our overall team”, says Brent Brown. “We are
proud to have the very best family of riders in the sport. We are really
proud of our Youth riders. They are not only the best racers around, but
they are some of the best representatives for the sport”.
DUANE BROWN, KYLE COEN, and GREG CRATER
Watch all three of these guys in the MM10A Stock/Mod class. All have
been on the podium before, and none of them is willing to settle for
second place. Even though they are BBR team members and close friends,
the elbows will fly and there may even be some biting involved on the
track. All at slightly over the speed of walking, this 10-inch class is
one of the crowd favorites.
DREW
GOSSELAAR
Drew comes from the Gosselaar family of Mini-Bike nuts. Drew, Chris and
Caleb are some of the craziest mini-bike riders on the planet. If their
dad Mike rode a mini-bike, he would be crazy too. It is obviously in the
Gosselaar blood. Drew will definitely be jumping the big stuff. He is
more comfortable in the air than he is on the ground. There is nobody
funner to watch.
CARL SCHLACHT
One of our newest Team Members, Carl comes to BBR with the speed it
takes to run up front in the toughest races in the Mini-Moto industry.
TOM PARSONS,
and JASON ELLIS
Tom and Jason are as much friends as they are BBR Factory Team racers.
Both have been BBR test riders for many years, and can always be counted
on to compete at the highest level for us. Tom Parsons is a long-time
Florida local Pit-Bike racer who has dominated the southeastern
mini-events for many years. He is capable of running with the very best
in the MM10E and MM12E classes this year. Tom will also campaign his BBR
bike in the MM12 Stock Mod class.
Jason rides out of the Las Vegas area, and will be defending his podium
finish in the MM12 Stock Mod this year. Jason’s family is well known in
the desert MX circles, and they have supported the mini-bike sport since
the beginning. Known as one of the fasted mini-riders over six-feet
tall, his size only seems to add to his speed. Jason helps BBR with a
lot with product development, and has been a valuable pro-level leader
for the BBR team.
